Blessed

When I think of those soft lips that I've kissed
It makes me so glad that I exist.
When I think of the hands that have unhesitantly touched my scarred skin
My smile returns, and it calms the storms raging within.
When I think of the arms that have held me tight
I remember that soon, everything will be all right.
When I think of your voice, that puts the melodies of angels to shame
My mind becomes clear, and my fears become tame.
When I think of the warm smile that paints your face
My heart beat slows, then doubles it's pace.
When I think of the love that I can see in your eyes
I feel my broken and battered soul rise.
When I think of the those three words that I never tire of hearing you say
I feel like I belong, and my pain washes away.
And when I think of the heart that lies in your chest
Knowing you have given it to me, I feel truly blessed.
